The City of Plymouth, in partnership with CCX Media and the Plymouth Historical Society, will host a premiere showing of “Our Town’s Story” on Wednesday, June 5 at 11 am at the Plymouth Creek Center’s Black Box Theatre (14800 34th Avenue N, Plymouth).
Produced by CCX Media, the 45-minute film features an in-depth look at the history of Plymouth, from its early formation to its status as Minnesota’s seventh-largest city and fourth-largest economy. The video discusses the area’s original Native American inhabitants – the Dakota – and Plymouth’s first settlers, as well as infrastructure development, school system establishment, parkland preservation, community event origins and more.
CCX Media partnered with the Plymouth Historical Society to bring the city’s history to life through archival photos, storytelling and interviews with those connected to the city’s history.
The premiere is free and open to the public – space is limited and seating is first-come, first-served. Following the premiere event, the film will be available to view at CCXMedia.org.
